Gutter Cleaning in Phoenix Park: Monthly Pine Needle Clean on a Two-Storey Farm Shed ($360)

Oct 9
2 min read

Jody's property in Phoenix Park has a very big farm shed, over two storeys high, with pine trees nearby. The pine needles fill the gutters, and that matters more here than on most roofs: the property relies on clean gutters for its water supply. That's why Mark cleans this shed every month.

The job at a glance

  • Customer: Jody

  • Location: Phoenix Park

  • Property: Very big farm shed, over two storeys high

  • Roof type: Metal

  • Problem: Pine needles filling the gutters that feed the water supply

  • Service: Gutter cleaning, booked monthly

  • Price: $360

  • Result: Gutter channels clear of pine needles, so rainwater can run to the water supply again

The problem

Pine needles are one of the worst things for gutters. They're fine and they mat together, so they don't wash out in the rain. Instead they pack the channel and hold water and muck in the gutter.

On a property that collects its rainwater, a blocked gutter means less water reaching the supply, and whatever sits in the gutter ends up in the water that does get through. Dry pine needles sitting in a gutter are also bushfire fuel.

What Turbovac did

Mark vacuumed the pine needles out of the shed's gutters, including the gutter that runs between the two roof sections. Turbovac works from the ground wherever possible, with ladders and harness where access needs it.

The result

After: the gutter between the roof sections, cleared

The pine needles are gone and the gutter channel is open, so rain off the shed roof can run to the water supply again.

What it cost

This clean was $360, quoted up front. It's a very big shed over two storeys high, and because the pines keep dropping needles, Jody has it done every month to keep the water supply running.
