Gutter Cleaning in Mulbring: Plants Growing Out of the Gutters and Over the Downpipes ($360)
Marianne's rural property in Mulbring didn't just have leaves in the gutters. Large plants were growing out of them, mostly covering the downpipes. With the downpipes blocked, last night's rain had nowhere to go, and the gutters were sitting full of water when Mark arrived.
The job at a glance
Customer: Marianne
Location: Mulbring
Property: Single-storey rural home
Roof type: Metal
Problem: Large plants growing from the gutters, mostly covering the downpipes, gutters full of rainwater
Service: Gutter cleaning, now booked annually
Price: $360
Result: Plants cleared, downpipes open, rainwater draining again
The problem
When gutters are left long enough, leaf litter breaks down into soil, and seeds take root in it. On this home, grass and plants had grown tall enough to see from the yard.

The worst of it was at the downpipes. The plants were mostly covering the outlets, so water couldn't get out of the gutter at all.

A gutter that can't drain holds water against the fascia and overflows at the edges, and dry plant matter in a gutter is bushfire fuel on a property surrounded by gum trees.
What Turbovac did
Mark pulled the plants out and vacuumed the gutters clear, opening up the downpipes. Turbovac works from the ground wherever possible, with ladders and harness where access needs it.

The result
Once the downpipes were cleared, Mark watched the water run. The rain that had filled the gutters overnight drained away down the downpipes, the way it's supposed to.

What it cost
This clean was $360, quoted up front. The owners have asked for an annual clean, so they'll get an automatic reminder from Turbovac next October.

If you can see green sticking up from your gutters, the downpipes are probably blocked too. Call Mark on 0431 103 323 or visit turbovac.com.au for a fixed-price quote, and ask about a yearly reminder so it doesn't get this far again.
