Gutter Cleaning in Anna Bay: Narrow Carport and Awning Gutters Cleared with a Crevice Tool ($250)
Russell's home is another smaller one in a retirement village at Anna Bay, and it had the two things Mark sees again and again on the coast: sand building up in the gutters, and carport and awning gutters too narrow to clean by hand.
The job at a glance
Customer: Russell
Location: Anna Bay, Port Stephens
Property: Smaller single-storey home in a retirement village, with carport and awnings
Roof type: Corrugated roof, curved awnings
Problem: Sand build-up slowing drainage, plus narrow carport and awning gutters
Service: Vacuum gutter clean, narrow crevice tool for the small gutters
Price: $250
Result: Sand cleared from all gutters, including the narrow ones
The problem
Coastal properties tend to get sand in the gutters. It settles along the bottom, holds water, and slows down how fast the gutter can drain.

Homes like this also have carports and awnings, and their gutters are narrow. There isn't room to get a hand in to scoop them out properly.

What Turbovac did
Mark fitted a narrow crevice tool to the gutter vac, which fits into gutters too small for hand cleaning. He used it on the carport and awning gutters, and vacuumed the main roof gutters as well. Turbovac works from the ground wherever possible, with ladders and harness where access needs it.
The result
The sand is out of the main gutters and the narrow ones, so water can get to the downpipes again.

What it cost
This clean was $250, quoted up front. That price included the narrow carport and awning gutters. Standard homes start from $250.
