Gutter Cleaning in Morpeth: Wet Sludge and a Gutter Squeezed Against a Lower Roof ($330)
Geoff's single-storey home in Morpeth has a green corrugated metal roof, and one run of gutter sits wedged in tight against an attached lower roof. That kind of gutter is easy to forget about because you can barely see into it, and this one was holding wet black sludge and leaves.
The job at a glance
Customer: Geoff
Location: Morpeth
Property: Single-storey home
Roof type: Corrugated metal, with an attached lower roof
Problem: Wet black sludge, leaves and a clump of dry grass in the gutters
Service: Gutter vacuum cleaning
Price: $330
Result: Sludge and leaves out, gutter channels open
The problem
The front gutters had leaves sitting in wet, dark muck, the kind that holds water against the gutter.

The trickier section was the gutter running between the main roof and the lower roof beside it. It was packed with black sludge and leaves, and there's very little room to get at it by hand.

At one corner, a clump of dry grass had caught where the two roof sections meet.

What Turbovac did
Mark vacuum cleaned the gutters, including the tight section against the lower roof, where the vacuum hose can reach along a gutter that's awkward to clear by hand. Turbovac works from the ground wherever possible, with ladders and harness where access needs it.
The result

The old gutter still shows some staining, but the sludge and leaves are gone and the channel is open for water to run to the downpipes.

What it cost
This clean was $330, quoted up front for Geoff's single-storey home. Standard homes start from $250.
